"ack" or act

Local Word of the Day is "ack." One of the most useful words in local vocabulary. Often said, "No Ack!": Stop showin off, Cool it, Cut it out! Parents like to use it as a warning with kids: "No ack Stupid/Dumb/ (and for some reason) Smart. Local girls like using it for threaten boyfriends: "Try ack, la'dat and see what happens (blah blah blah)". Local boys find it annoying when other locals start "ackin' BIG." Be humbo, No Grumbo!
