#18 Tutu
Some people have grandma, granny, nanna, obaachan, grans, lola, popo and everyone has a Grandma [something]. Only Hawaiians have a tutu. She's the one that watched us when the men went fishing. She's the one that mixed the poi. She the one that has some kind of old Hawaiian remedy for every sore, bruise, broken bone and cold. She's the one that cracked us on the head for whistling at night. She's the one that fried all the fish for the birthday luau. She's the one that sang all those old songs that made us feel yucky. She's the one that told us to rub sand on our Portuguese Man-O-War stings. She's the one that cooked breakfast every day when we went camping. She's the one that reminded us what living in the old days were like. She's the only one that could tell Tutu Papa what to do. She's the one person that never corrected your pidgin. She's the one that made us stay Hawaiian.
