is Kaneohe. Pronouced KAH-nay oh hey. But sometimes locals slurr'um into Kahn-Yo-hey. It means "bamboo man." Kaneohe has it ALL, but for me Convenience and Beauty top the list. Get places for shop, fish, golf, surf, hike stairway, learn to play music, learn Hawaiian, check out waterfalls, check out fish ponds, drive fast on H-3, see ancient battle grounds, visit the cemetery, go sandbar, etc. Awesome place!
