Laupahoehoe

is "Laupahoehoe." A small town along the Hamakua Coast on the Big Island. According to Wikipedia the name means "leaf-lava" (for the leaf-shaped lava that lines many of its beaches. A simple place with a simple reminder of the April Fool's Day Tsunami in 1946. Also the setting to a classic Hapa Hawaiian song, "Boy from Laupahoehoe." The song describes the typical local beach boy.
