kamaboko

is "kamaboko." Word from the Japanese again. It's the cucumber-sliced-looking pink stuff in your saimin (Fish Cake). It's also what locals wear on their feet that makes loud clack-clacking noises when you walk thru the market (kamaboko slippahs). "Honey, howzda the saimin?" "It's good!...You going eat da kamaboko?" "Eh, I no eat slippahz! Das gross!" "Fish cake lolo! And you wear Crocs!"
