is "tako." Pronounced TAH-koh, like the Mexican food. Japanese borrowed word for octopus. All around Hawaii Locals go diving for tako (a.k.a. squid, but it's not squid, it's he'e). Tako is good to make Tako Poke, Squid Luau or a variety of Polynesian dishes. Having the ability to spot them is called having good "squid eye." "Ho! Honey, like learn fo' poke squid?"
